Op 5, 6 en 7 september 2014 staat dit meest bekende Haagse streekproduct centraal tijdens VISSCH. Het festival draait om het bereiden en proeven van vooral lokale vis (uit de Noordzee); een 6-tal (vis)restaurants uit Scheveningen geven daarbij hun culinaire kijk op eigentijdse visbereiding.
Het culinaire gedeelte wordt omlijst met een muzikaal en inhoudelijk programma. Naast lezingen door zeegerelateerde kunstenaars als Hugo Schuitemaker en Bruno van den Elshout kunnen bezoekers op een bijzondere lokatie korte visdocumentaires bekijken in de VISSCH-cinema. En workshops over vis-wijn combinaties worden afgewisseld met ontdekkingsreizen naar de vloedlijn voor jeugdige bezoekertjes. Voor de muziekliefhebber staan oa de Haagse iconen Splendid, the Raspers en Friends of the Family geprogrammeerd.
